This past weekend marked a major milestone for Llandudno Junction FC as we proudly hosted our first Junior Football Tournament in years—and what a weekend it was!
We were proud to welcome 30 grassroots teams across three age groups over two action-packed days filled with football, fun, and fantastic community spirit. Bathed in sunshine and filled with energy, the event brought together young footballers, passionate supporters, and an incredible community spirit. The positive feedback has been overwhelming, and we couldn’t be prouder of how the event unfolded.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who made the weekend such a success:
Our dedicated Junction coaches who worked tirelessly to organise the tournament
The amazing parents who helped build goals, ran the canteen, and cheered from the sidelines
The brilliant players who stepped up to referee matches
And our committee members, who dashed around behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly
Special thanks to our referees: Kian, Caleb, Liam & Alex for their fantastic efforts throughout the tournament
And to Lynne, Sam, Ruby and Lucy, who did an outstanding job running the canteen all weekend
It was a real team effort—and it paid off beautifully.
A very special thank you also goes to Andy at Corvus Security Ltd, whose generous sponsorship made the entire event possible. Their support of grassroots football is truly appreciated, and we can’t recommend them enough for all your event or private security needs.

Words from our Club Secretary, Gary Cooper, regarding the event:
“Huge thanks to all players, coaches and parents that attended today’s event. The behaviour of everyone was faultless, which enabled a great day of football. It was fantastic to see 30 grassroots teams coming together in such a well-organised and friendly environment. The dedication of our volunteers, referees, and committee was outstanding and truly reflects the spirit of this club. Some real ballers out there—the future of North Wales football is in a great place. Hope to see you all again next year.”
With events like this and the community rallying behind us, it's clear the club is moving forward in a strong and positive direction. Here’s to many more weekends like this one!
